“What theatre means to me is home. Whether it’s a fun musical that transports you somewhere else, or a deep musical that keeps you up thinking, theater truly changes lives and is always there for you, and it’s a beautiful thing. Anytime you see a performance it feels magical, and going back to the theater feels like going home.”

  • Robin Renee

“What theatre means to me is… this is a loaded question for sure, but the first thing that comes to mind is that Theatre is life! The folks I meet, the experiences, the growth, and the fun! So much fun. Theatre folks are the best folks, period.”

  • Morgan Lee

“What theatre means to me is my home and my family. It is a place to be authentically myself. Theatre is for escape, for creation, for catharsis, and for asking difficult questions. Theatre is for everyone and exposes us to stories we may not otherwise hear. Theatre is the coming together of people and creating a special moment in time that will only exist that specific way once, and once only.”

  • Isabella Giordano

"What theatre means to me is to be fully present. To be or not to be, I choose to BE! I choose to experience life through storytelling, hoping to bring audiences a taste of what it might be like to wield battle swords and lament as kings and queens do!”

  • Luke Harger

“What theatre means to me …. at its best, theatre is both an investigation and a celebration of life. It's where big laughs meet big questions— or maybe just a small, burning question that sits in our hearts forever. It's where illusion meets truth. Theatre artists pull rabbits out of hats nightly, but the trick is never the same twice. Theatre continually teaches me to savor the moment because when the curtain shuts, it's over forever... but that's where the magic comes from. The realness and immediacy of experiencing our stories as a community is a uniquely meaningful gift we can give our friends and neighbors. I believe it's a gift of hope.”

  • Sterling Shane Allen

Theatre is community. It’s a group of people coming together for art that is bigger than each artist individually. The magic comes in the moments when the entire production team and cast work together to create an entirely new version of a show that will never be seen again once it closes. In its best form theatre creates a bond between cast and audience for the duration of the show and sometimes even affecting them after.

  • Aaron Ross

To me, theatre is a sincere attempt to communicate our humanity to one another. The world outside of ourselves is messy and often difficult to navigate, and so is the world that lives inside us. Theatre plots a course through those inner wilds and invites us to follow.

  • Nan Weber

Theatre is life, communication, creativity and friendship.

  • Ethan Hernandez

What theatre means to me is discovery. Whether that be in the script or on the stage, there is always another idea or moment waiting to be found, treasured, and dissected by the community theatre fosters. In turn, being able to share these moments with an audience is just exhilarating.

  • Courtney Whittier

I love theatre. I’ve always viewed it as a safe place to explore all the different angles of the human experience, both as a participant and as a member of the audience.
