Artistic Director’s Note
“Hiiiiiiiii! Let me be the first to welcome you to Voodoo Theatre Company’s inaugural production of Puffs or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic by Matt Cox. For seven years, a certain boy wizard went to a certain Wizard School and conquered evil. Well, forget about him, this is not his story. This is the story of the Puffs…who just happened to be there too. A tale for anyone who has never been destined to save the world. This is a story of love, friendship, and being willing to do what’s right, even in the face of adversity. (oh, and there’s a little bit of swearing too…)
Enjoy the magic of Puffs!”

Kelly has always loved the performing arts and has taken on many roles during his lifetime. His favorite role so far has been playing Huck Finn in Big River, although his role in this production may just move into the number one spot. The inspiration for his adaptation of The Narrator comes from one of the many character voices he would use while reading bedtime stories to his children. Anthony (Todd) Sieber
as J. Finch Fletchley/Uncle Dave/Goyle/a Fat Friar/Clumsy Longbottom/Hermeoone #3/Viktor/Mr. Bagman/Zach Smith
The first time Todd heard an explicit word, his world expanded. What word? Unimportant. However, the impact of that moment changed everything. No longer was he going to be a humble veterinarian or writer...no he was going to be someone who cursed. A lot. Maybe even an actor. Unfortunately, living in Utah, saying phrases like ‘oh lemons’ in a rough tone, would earn him a bar of soap in his mouth. So, he joined the military and learned to shine! After that he bounced around the west perfecting the art of swearing. Eventually, even his wife would succumb to the forbidden art of cussing (much to his delight.) Having embraced his calling, he pays the bills as a Geologist, and makes people uncomfortable practicing park-fu in the open spaces of Sugarhouse. Oh, and sincere apologies to his mother...but he likes to swear.
-
Hayley Warner
as Sally Perks/Hermeoone/Blond Malfoy/Rowena/Rita Scooter/Bippy
Hiiiii! Thank you for coming to our show! Hayley is so excited to be back on stage in such a fun-loving show. She has done theater for 20 years and never gets tired of the opportunity to tell unique stories like Puffs! All forms of art are huge pieces of her heart, as well as playing games in all forms, from tabletop to video. Her best friends and family are her biggest supporters and have been cheering her on wholeheartedly from day 1. Also, unrelated, she's a Brave but is frequently asked by her sisters, "Are you sure you aren't a puff?" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Embrace your house and enjoy the show!
